Chill Will Da Don got started rapping when he heard 2pac‘s Me Against The World in 1994. His latest project is Live from Dallas vol.2. The two tracks submitted are entitled Git Chose and Now or Neva.

Pro’s:

Git Chose:
Props to your producer on this track. It’s smooth and chill, very cuffing season-esque.

There’s not a doubt your from Texas with that Southern drawl. I’m not going to lie though, you remind me a lot of Slim Thuggaaaaaaa.

I liked the story line behind this track, a lot of people can relate.

Now or Neva:
I liked the feel of this beat as well, Legacy did a good job with really incorporating real instrumental sounds.. kind of has an old school jazz feel.

A lot of confidence on this track, bout to turn it up, because it’s now or neva!

Con’s:

Git Chose:
I applaud you for not using auto-tune on the vocals, but I think you could have done better. Either by adding a little more melody or perhaps getting someone else to do the hook for you.

Overall Grade:

Overall I think Chill Will Da Don is a solid artist, the only problem I see is people will compare him to every other Texas rapper. He can’t help how he sounds, but I feel like there’s got to be something else to set him apart.. whether it be his delivery or his instrumental selections..
