1. So Dewun, tell me about some of your past, present, and future projects?
It all started with “The Off-Season Vol.1″, That was my first solo project that I released to the public. Other than the TrakkBlazers, I creatively produced quite a few tracks on that project. Since “The Off-Season” I have released 3 more projects composed of all original material. Titles including “X-Wun Lesson 1″ “WUNLUV” and the latest project “#TrakkSeason Volume1″ which has surpassed 15k downloads online. By far the most successful project to date. At the moment I am working on collaborating with as many artist as possible… and preparing to put out a 5 track mini-mixtape entitled “#PhysicalTherapy” to hold my fans over while im working on my next album to tentatively release early 2012.
2. A little cliché , but how do you start out in the rap game?
It literally started in a middle school classroom. I beagn beating on my desk with pens, The entire room began to dance and sing. The sight of seeing other people’s entire mood change through rhythm and beats is when I can honestly say, I fell in love with the art of music. My craft began as a producer in 2004. I really never even thought I would develop into an artist. I was pretty reserved as a child, so the idea of performing in front of thousands was completely foreign. Now, I cant see it any other way.
3. What do you want to gain through your music?
Honestly I just want to gain true self happiness. Im not in this for fame, status, gimmicks, or etc. I just want to do something I love to do while taking care of myself and my loved ones.
4. Is there anything you would like the world to know about you?
Overall I just want people to know I am in this for the long haul. Music and entertainment is my true passion and something I want to be part of for the rest of my life. I tired of seeing these mainstream artist squandering the opportunity desired by artist everywhere around the globe. I vow to work my hardest to shatter the stereotype of a “rapper” in the industry. I want to show that real music is still alive and hip hop still exist.
