The Niceguys, Ari Gold, and then some. [Music]

A good artist will perform live and sound exactly like their records. A great artist will perform live and surprise you by sounding even better. I was privileged enough to catch my first performance by The Niceguys this past weekend at the Aardvark. The group’s stage presence was unlike any other that I’ve ever seen live. There was an undeniable chemistry throughout the group that compelled the entire venue instantly. Yves, Free, and Todd had us hanging on every last word.

Coming together in 2007, these University of Houston students started out with a hobby that would eventually land them in the limelight. Having past performances in major music festivals such as SXSW, they also plan on attending the country’s biggest hip-hop festival, A3C, this October.

The Niceguys are currently working on an EP entitled Who is James Kelley with no release date given as of yet. The premiere of the video for their single Ari Gold is scheduled for Sunday July 24th 2011 at 10PM CST at www.thenicelook.com
